Tommie A. Harsley
Tommie A. Harsley III is the pastor of Grace New Covenant Church (GNCC) in St. Louis Missouri. GNCC was founded in 2006 and has experienced the favor of the Lord and wonderful growth. In 2009, the church acquired and renovated a strip mall, converting a 10,000 sq. retail space into the church auditorium, classrooms and office space.
The church is significantly involved in service to the community and in 2013 dedicated the Grace New Covenant Community Ministry Center, a 25,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose building devoted to serving the needs of north county residents. The Church has experienced tremendous growth numerically and spiritually
Tommie A. Harsley
Before entering the pastorate, Pastor Harsley served in a variety of church related leadership and service positions including, musician, teacher, deacon, board member, and ordained minister. In addition, he has devoted a significant portion of his law practice to advising and representing church and other not-for-profit charitable organizations. Pastor Harsley is a graduate of the University of Illinois having earned a B.A. in Political Science and Washington University School of Law having earned a Juris Doctorate, J.D. he has been practicing law in the states of Missouri and Illinois since 1987. He has also participated in the Master of Divinity program at Covenant Theological Seminary.
He was married to the love of his love, Mrs. Vanassa P. Harsley who passed in 2017. He has two children, Thomas (Alexia, daughter –in-love) and Rachel and on grandson, Thomas (TJ) E. Harsley Jr.

The three deserving winners of the Tommie A. Harsley Scholarship will see a deduction in their tuition accounts of $1000 each. The award winner will have written a creative essay of 700-850 words addressing the following questions:
“ Why are you seeking a college degree and what do you hope to accomplish in life as a result of obtaining your degree?.”
Students who apply for the Tommie A. Harsley Scholarship must:
• Be currently enrolled at an accredited US college or university as a Freshman, Sophomore, or Junior
• Submit the essay based on the question noted above.
• The Tommie A. Harsley Scholarship will present three one-time awards of $1,000.

• Biography of 200-250 words.
All submissions must be received by Nov 15, 2022. The announcement date for the winning candidates will be on Nov30, 2022.
Selection of the winner
The winning candidate will be informed via formal email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Funds will be sent directly to the financial aid account of the winning students.
